OPEN TERRARIUM
Plant your own Garden-in-a-bowl, it will give you many months of pleasure. Learn how to plant and maintain an open terrarium. Create yours by planting a colorful selection of slow-growing plants in an 8 inch bubble bowl. Finish your garden with decorative accents of polished stones and mossy branches.
$39 materials fee paid in class.

SPRING TABLE GARDEN
Plant a colorful spring garden to grow indoors while you are waiting for the outdoors to bloom.
You will create an arrangement of flowering spring plants in a pretty basket using cyclamen, tulips, primrose, daffodils, lacy ferns, ivies. When summer arrives transplant the bulbs, primroses, ivies and ferns to your garden to enjoy all summer. $44 materials fee paid in class.

BEGINNING YOUR GARDEN
Thinking about starting a vegetable garden, growing your own tomatoes, salad greens, some favorite vegetables or herbs? This class is for you. Learn where to locate your garden, how to prepare the soil, whether to buy seeds or plants and when to plant. Learn the difference between annuals and perennials and how to grow them, including watering, feeding, and overall garden care. $8 materials fee paid in class.

EUROPEAN CONTAINER GARDEN
Plant a lovely winter garden for your table or window to enjoy indoors while winter still holds sway outside. European container gardens combine potted plants with fresh cut flowers in a decorative container. Arranged together, flowering plants, lacy ferns, trailing ivies and fresh cut flowers become an enchanting table garden. With proper care, the plants will last for many months and the fresh flowers can be replaced when desired. Please bring floral scissors and an apron to class. Plants, flowers, container and mechanics will be supplied by the instructor.

Fill an attractive basket with flowering plants: cyclamen, tulips, primroses, daffodils, violas or pansies accented with lacy ferns, trailing ivies and green moss. Your portable garden will look equally charming on a table or windowsill. When summer arrives, plant the bulbs in the garden and transplant the fern, violas, primroses and ivy to a damp shady spot to enjoy all summer.
Please bring floral scissors and an apron to class. All other materials included.

SPRING TWIG WREATH
Betsy Williams will help you welcome Spring by showing you how to create a wreath of vines and twigs decorated with pussy willows, mosses, green leaves and sprays of vibrant annual statice. Finish your wreath with bright spring-colored ribbons or raffia to coordinate with your home. Your wreath can be hung outdoors in a sheltered area or indoors to brighten up gray days. The finished wreath measures about 16" across. Please bring floral scissors and an apron to class.
One, 2-hour class: Saturday, 10:00 am – 12:00 noon.
March 17, at Ould Towne Gardens, 157 High Road, Newbury, MA.
Cost: $40. A $39.00 materials fee collected in class covers wreath, all plant materials and ribbons.
