THANKSGIVING CENTERPIECE
Decorate your Thanksgiving table with the bounty of the season! Make your own beautiful, long-lasting centerpiece of fresh fall flowers, preserved autumn leaves, fruits, vegetables, fragrant herbs and seasonial berries to celebrate our national day of thanks. We will create an arrangement that says abundance!
Choose a basket or container from a selection supplied by the instructor. A $44.00 materials covers all plant material, mechanics and container. Please bring an apron and flower scissors to class. 2 1/2 hours.
WILLIAMSBURG CANDLE RING FOR THANKSGIVING
Decorate your holiday table with a lush wreath of flowers and berries accented with seasonal fruits, vegetables, nuts and preserved leaves . Working in a base of wet floral foam attached to a plastic tray, we will combine flowers and leaves in rich autumn colors with vegetables, fruits, nuts and berries to create a striking harvest centerpiece for your Thanksgiving table. The finished wreath measures about 15” across. The center of the ring can comfortably hold candles or a compote.
All materials will be provided by the instructor. Be sure to bring floral scissors and an apron. A $46.00 materials fee will be collected in class. 2 1/2 hrs.
APPLES, APPLES, APPLES
Apples, one of our most ancient and useful fruits, have played important rolls in fall and winter celebrations for many centuries. Pies, sauce and cider appear on New England tables every autumn. Apples are used for games and fortune telling at Halloween. Apple cakes, breads and pies enrich the Thanksgiving feast. The shape, flavor and fragrance of apples play important roles in many winter celebrations.
Learn apple history and traditions while you make an apple candle to decorate your seasonal table, a spicy apple pomander for gift giving, fragrant old-fashioned mast balls and ornaments with apple-cinnamon dough and a fresh Winter Apple Potpourri.
A $45.00 materials fee collected in class covers all plant material, mechanics and supplies.

MOSS TOPIARY TREES FOR WINTER CELEBRATIONS
Mossy, stylized topiary trees set in terra cotta pots add a touch of winter forest to December celebrations. Made with soft, green mosses, the 14" trees bring a natural simplicity to holiday decorating. Students will make a set of three trees in either round or cone shape. The trees can be finished with miniature pine cones and a touch of gold sparkle.

APPLES, IVY, NUTS , BERRIES AND EVERGREEN CENTERPIECE
Apples, nuts and pine are the essence of New England Christmas. Ivy, boxwood and berries add a touch of Old World winter celebration.
Fill a stone or ceramic container with an arrangement of shiny red apples, brown nuts, trailing ivy, boxwood and fragrant evergreens to create a beautiful centerpiece for your holiday table.
Fruit and greens arrangements are fun to make and, kept well watered, will last the holiday season.

FRESH HOLIDAY POTPOURRI
Decorate your home with fragrance for the holidays. Make a fresh potpourri filled with the evocative scents of winter woods, rich spices and tangy citrus.
We will use fresh evergreens and herbal shrubs and trees to create a fragrant base for our potpourri, then personalize it with whole spices, a selection of dried fruits and nuts, flower petals, essential oils and scented evergreen cones.
Each person will make a quart or more of potpourri to take home. A $22.00 materials fee collected in class covers all materials and supplies. Be sure to bring sharp clippers and an apron to class.
BOXWOOD TREE WITH HERBAL ACCENTS
The stories, legends, fragrances and textures of our ancient and traditional Christmas greens come to life in this lovely 20” table tree. Made with fresh boxwood, pine, juniper, rosemary, holly, ivy and bay, the finished tree “grows” out of an attractive pot. Decorate your tree with pine cones and berries.
This is a beautiful tree! It will make the perfect centerpiece for your Christmas table. You will learn the Christmas stories of each of the greens as you work.

BOXWOOD, FRAGRANT GREENS AND BERRY CENTERPIECE
Create a beautiful, long lasting fresh centerpiece for the holiday season. Fill an attractive pot or basket with an arrangement of fresh boxwood, fragrant evergreens, California bay and rosemary accented with sprays of eucalyptus berries, rose hips, pine cones and ribbons.
Greens arrangements are fun to make and, kept well watered, will last the holiday season. Use your arrangement to decorate the dining table, entry hall, living room, kitchen, porch or doorstep.

FRESH BOXWOOD CANDLE RING
Create a stunning, long lasting centerpiece for your holiday table. Make a fresh boxwood and evergreen ring finished with cones, berries and a creamy pillar candle. Add richly colored autumn chrysanthemums for Thanksgiving or seasonal ribbons for the winter holidays.
Kept watered, your ring will last the entire holiday season. The finished candle ring measures about 15" across.

IVY RING WITH ROSES AND BERRIES
Plant a ring of lush green ivy accented with roses and berries. Ivy’s twining strands, an ancient symbol of friendship, add an elegant and festive touch to dining tables, sideboards and holiday decorations.
Using a sturdy box wire frame, we will plant well rooted ivies mixed with fresh cut roses and a variety of seasonal berries, such as privet, juniper, rose hips and eucalyptus.
The finished wreath measures about 15” across and sits on a clear plastic tray. With proper care your ivy ring will last for many months. The fresh flowers can be changed as needed.

CANDLES FOR A WINTER NIGHT
Nothing warms dark autumn and winter nights like candlelight. Candles create an inviting, cozy glow in any setting.
Learn how to turn common fruits and vegetables into charming candle holders and decorative centerpieces. We'll turn lemons, oranges or squashes into votive holders and apples into candlesticks. Transform glass votive cups with leaves and pods and then make a small centerpiece of greens and berries accented with a fruit votive.
Each person will make a pair of fruit or vegetable candles, decorate two votive holders and create one centerpiece.
